Start your morning at 'Pappy's Hideaway' with breakfast around the oversized picnic table on the screened deck, where wall-to-wall portals frame a forest view or Mt. LeConte across the valley, depending on the season. The large picture windows help ensure that you’ll never miss out on the surrounding scenery, including seasonal views of the mountaintops! Close out your day of Smoky Mountain fun with a show on the flat-screen cable TV in the living area or downstairs in the rec room. Both living spaces offer comfortable couches and wood-burning fireplaces.
If you haven’t had your fill of the great outdoors for the day, head onto one of the decks in the late afternoon to catch the fog tendrils rolling in. Unwind with a relaxing soak in the private 5-person hot tub on the lower deck.
Need to get some work or schooling done? We have high-speed 100mbps Internet service from Charter Spectrum. The home is also equipped with the latest technology in mesh WiFi networks, allowing many devices to simultaneously access the Internet without interference. We have a desk setup in one bedroom to facilitate an environment for participating in some work or schooling.
Prepare meals in the well-equipped kitchen, decked out with tumbled stone countertops, upgraded appliances and pantry storage. Host a family dinner around the table set for 8+, or dine with a view on the upper screened-in deck. The kitchen is set with plenty of dinnerware, appliances, servingware, glasses, mugs, and all you need for your meals.
Wind down for the night with a movie from under the covers, as all 5 bedrooms have HDTVs w/cable. Three of the 5 rooms also offer beautifully hand-hewn log bed frames - fitting for your alpine adventure!

Housekeeping - Your Well-Being is Important to Us
Our housekeeping partner has always had a strict cleaning regimen that is performed after every guest stay. In light of recent events, we have worked with them and updated it to include additional processes and procedures to increase protections for both our guests and our housekeeping team members.
The high points of our cleaning process include the following:
Hot Tub: Drained, cleaned, and refilled after every guest; fresh Bromine added.
Linens: laundered and processed in temperatures that exceed those recommended for laundry operations; disinfectant added if appropriate; dried at temperatures needed for sanitization; and, packaged until put out for guests.
Cabin:
- Anti-microbial and disinfectants are used upon arrival, given time to work while staff perform other tasks, then used again as appropriate during the cleaning process.
- Micro-Ban™ is applied throughout the cabin on all hard surfaces (counters, floors, stair rails, cabinets, etc.) and on compatible soft surfaces (furniture, beds, pillows, carpets, comforters, etc.).
- Lysol™ is used on all compatible surfaces to clean and disinfect.
- Bleach-based cleaners are used in some areas, such as bathrooms and kitchens, that are better served by, and can tolerate, chlorine products.
- The cabin is routinely inspected after cleaning by the company's inspection team. Besides quality assurance tasks, these specialists also perform additional applications of protective products in the home, such as MicroBan and Lysol, as needed.
On-Site Staff: Housekeeping staff and inspectors have been fully trained in the proper methods of cleaning and preparing our home for our guests. They are furnished with protective gloves and instructed to wear them at all times; changing them for fresh pairs as needed during preparation of the home.
Facilities Staff: have also been trained in the safety procedures necessary to protect themselves and products that are destined for guest use.
All Housekeeping and inspection staff have been instructed to immediately report anything that may lead them to believe that there is/was any kind of health issue in the cabin, with themselves, or with other staff.
