"It's even more beautiful than bit looks in the pictures. Hosts are very attentive and want you to have a wonderful time." ⏤ Amanda C.
Mountain Air is a 2-bed/2-bath log cabin that offers a getaway from the hustle, bustle, and bright lights of the attractions areas and puts you into the mountains. You will not be disappointed! We are very private. No other cabins in sight! Check out our collection of great reviews and photos.
Spend your days nestled into the wooded property, relaxing on the deck swing, soaking in the hot tub on the lower rear deck, or cuddle up in front of the fireplace. Take a walk down the paths to the small creek that winds along the property. Wander the grounds and look for the hidden decor (caution: steps or ground items may be slippery). When dinner time arrives, prepare a delicious meal in the well-equipped kitchen, cook out on the gas grill, or head down the road to your choice of several well-reviewed restaurants only minutes away.

Drive just 15 mins to Pigeon Forge and select from almost 100 restaurants offering nearly every type of food you could want. Take in a dinner show like the Hatfield-McCoys, Paula Deen’s Lumberjack Feud, Dolly’s Stampede, or many others. Then, head to Gatlinburg and Blake Shelton's Ole Red for live musical performances or to Tom & Earl’s Back Alley Grill and catch a live performance by renowned local artist Denver Evans.
Go horseback riding, zip-lining, or have a picnic in the National Park nearby. Pigeon Forge has several mini-golf courses, go-kart tracks galore, mountain coasters, and the many attractions at The Island, such as The Great Smoky Mountain Wheel. There are also museums like Titanic, National Enquirer, Civil War, WonderWorks, and more. For a whole day of fun, visit Dollywood; it is only 20 minutes from Mountain Air. Let's not forget the Great Smoky Mountain National Park with its hiking trails, picnic areas, swimming holes, waterfalls, diverse wildlife, outstanding vistas, and beautiful scenery.

⏤ Booking Mountain Air ⏤
We require the booking guest to review and sign our Rental Agreement, a sample of which (without specifics of names and dates) is available. This agreement must be digitally signed and returned to us within 2 days of booking. A copy of the signer's government-issued ID must also be submitted.
We include coverage for accidental damages in every booking. A cost recovery charge of $13 will be added into each booking at checkout time. This may be labeled “Resort Fee” or "Management Fee", depending on the site used for booking. There will be a refundable security deposit to cover any non-accidental damages or costs, if required.
We **STRONGLY** recommend obtaining Travel Insurance for your trip, especially if your stay is during winter months, or if you are concerned about possible cancellation due to the pandemic, government policies, or other reasons. We offer an opportunity to purchase a standard policy or a CFAR (cancel for any reason) policy as a convenience to our guests. You can also acquire coverage from many online sources, but make sure you are clear on what they cover.
Be sure to read and understand our cancellation policy. We will not be responsible for any cancellations outside of our policy - that is what Travel Insurance is for.
⏤ Your Safety & Well-Being is Important to Us ⏤
We believe in providing a comfortable and safe environment for our guests. Our housekeeping partner has always had a strict cleaning regimen that is performed after every guest stay. In light of recent events, they have updated it to include additional processes and procedures to increase protections for both our guests and our team members.
♨️ Hot Tub: Drained, cleaned/sanitized, and refilled after every guest; fresh Bromine added.
🧺 Linens: laundered and processed in temperatures that exceed those recommended for laundry operations; disinfectant added if appropriate; dried at temperatures needed for sanitization; and, packaged until put out for guests.
🏠Cabin:
- Anti-microbial and disinfectants are used upon arrival, given time to work while staff perform other tasks, then used again as appropriate during the cleaning process.
- Micro-Ban™ is applied throughout the cabin on all hard surfaces (counters, floors, stair rails, cabinets, etc.) and on compatible soft surfaces (furniture, beds, pillows, carpets, comforters, etc.).
- Lysol™ is used on all compatible surfaces to clean and disinfect.
- Bleach-based cleaners are used in some areas, such as bathrooms and kitchens, that are better served by, and can tolerate, chlorine products.
- The cabin is routinely inspected after cleaning by the company's inspection team. Besides quality assurance tasks, these specialists also perform additional applications of protective products in the home, such as MicroBan and Lysol, as needed.
🧑🏻On-Site Staff: Housekeeping staff and inspectors have been fully trained in the proper methods of cleaning and preparing our home for our guests. They are furnished with masks, protective gloves and are instructed to wear them at all times; changing them for fresh pairs as needed during preparation of the home.
🧔🏻Facilities Staff: have also been trained in the safety procedures necessary to protect themselves and products that are destined for guest use.
👨🏻🦰Maintenance Team: the team members have been trained in the safety procedures necessary to protect themselves and guest as they are called upon to handle on-site tasks.
📲 All Housekeeping and inspection staff have been instructed to immediately report anything that may lead them to believe that there is/was any kind of health issue in the cabin, with themselves, or with other staff.
⏤ Road Conditions ⏤
The road to the cabin is partially paved, with the rest of it being gravel. Our driveway is not paved and is mostly gravel and dirt. During winter months, it is best to have AWD, 4WD, or chain, just to be safe. Low-riding vehicles, trailers, and motorcycles are not suitable for the private roadway. We have parking for 2-3 vehicles.
Please remember you will be staying in the mountains. Mountain roads can be tough at times. We can not and do not guarantee any road surface conditions, especially during Winter. Most public roads are well maintained but can be winding, steep, and/or bumpy. It is not unusual to have some washed out areas or downed trees, especially after rain or high winds. You are responsible for your own transportation. We cannot provide any transportation for guests. Weather conditions can be very unpredictable, and it is your responsibility to come fully prepared. We do not refund due to road conditions or the location of the property on the mountain.
⏤ Services ⏤
Cellular signals may be weak at the cabin. We have added a signal booster indoors but results can vary. We offer DishTV, a house phone, and basic 6mbps Internet w/Wifi (speeds cannot be guaranteed and may not be suitable for streaming). We cannot control these services. The weather or other issues can affect their operation and performance.
You should view a video of the drive (after turning off main road) on our YouTube Channel by searching the Internet for "#mountainair37862". Past guests have said the video was very helpful.
⏤ Special Note ⏤
We have found that guests are better prepared and enjoy their stay more when they have read all of our information. To verify this, please include the phrase "BLACK BEARS" somewhere in your booking and/or inquiry.

From our very first guest, we realized just how much we enjoyed being hosts and providing our guests with 5-star stays. This is especially true when we get the nice reviews and email messages from our guests telling us about what wonderful memories they made while staying in our home.
